Hello, I’m Gary, the founder of HEARTS AND MIND. Thank you for taking the time to visit my web-page. 

For more than 45 years, I have dedicated my life to understanding people — their emotions, their stories, their struggles, their resilience, and their capacity to grow.

My work is shaped by a blend of deep lived experience and a long professional career in psychology, mental health, and counselling leadership. I have walked alongside people through the most complex and tender moments of their lives, and each experience has strengthened my belief in the power of compassionate, personcentred support.

I founded HEARTS AND MIND to offer a calm, grounded space where individuals, couples, and families can explore what they’re facing without judgement.   My approach is warm, gentle, and human. I don’t rush people, I don’t force solutions, and I don’t treat anyone as a set of symptoms. 

Instead, I work with the whole person — your history, your values, your emotions, your relationships, and your hopes for the future.

Whether you are navigating bereavement, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, stress, or simply feeling lost, you will be met with empathy, honesty, and steady guidance. Together, we create a therapeutic space where you can speak freely, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and move towards greater clarity and wellbeing.
